If you’ve ever wondered who keeps Mellow Yellow running smoothly behind the scenes, say hello to Becky – our brilliant Production Manager and the calm, capable force who makes sure every bottle that leaves our farm is something we’re proud of.
Becky’s job is one of constant variety. No two days look the same, and that’s exactly what she loves about it. One moment she’s troubleshooting a production hiccup, the next she’s working with the team to keep everything flowing. “We’re a small team,” she says, “so when something isn’t quite right, it’s down to us to figure it out.” Her approach is methodical and steady: understand the problem, work through it step by step, and call on trusted suppliers when needed. It’s this mix of practical thinking and teamwork that keeps the whole operation moving smoothly.
And while she’s brilliant under pressure, Becky’s also the first to celebrate the lighter moments. Ask her for a standout memory and she’ll tell you about the unexpectedly impressive vocals at last year’s Christmas party. Or the four times the team broke their own production record in a single year: not just a number, but a sign of a hardworking crew tackling a busy summer with good humour and pride.
What keeps her motivated is simply being part of making something genuinely good with minimal impact: “I love being part of something that is good to make, good to eat, good for health, and good for the planet,” she says. That sense of purpose runs through everything she does, from managing supply chain challenges to ensuring every bottle meets the standard you expect from us.
As for favourites? Becky refuses to pick just one (though Ultimate Chilli Dressing often wins). And she’ll happily admit that watching the Chilli Oil run down the line is one of her quiet joys: “It’s so beautiful when the flakes float in the golden oil before it turns red.”
This year, her goal is clear: navigate whatever supply chain challenges come our way with as little disruption as possible. And if anyone can do it, it’s Becky.
