Air Fryer Prawn Toast
Make authentic prawn toast, with that wonderful unctuous taste of the deep fried version, but with much less fat! Mellow Yellow Cold Pressed Rapeseed Oil is used to coat the bread and sesame prawn topping, it is very low in saturated fat but will give a wonderful, full flavour and create that delicious, crisp prawn toast that we love. We served them with a Mellow Yellow Chilli Oil honey and soy dip for a tasty treat!

In a blender, add the raw prawns, spring onion, ginger, garlic, egg white, white pepper, salt and soy sauce and blend to a lumpy paste.

With a pastry brush coat one side of the bread triangles with Mellow Yellow cold pressed rapeseed oil, flip the triangles over and pile on the prawn mixture, spread out evenly into the corners and then dip the prawn side into the sesame seeds to fully coat that side.

Finally, thoroughly coat the sesame prawn side with Mellow Yellow Oil (the all round covering with the oil will make sure the prawn toast isn’t dry and crumbly but crisp and full of flavour).

Preheat the air fryer and then bake on 190°C for around 8 minutes, until nicely golden.

Mix all of the ingredients for the chilli, honey & soy dip together.

Serve the toast on a plate with the dipping bowl in the middle and enjoy!

165g raw prawns

1.5cm fresh ginger, peeled and finely chopped

1 large clove garlic, crushed

1 egg white

1 spring onion, chopped

1 tsp soy sauce

3 slices white bread, crusts removed and each slice cut into 4 triangles

3 tbsp sesame seeds

3 tbsp Cold Pressed Rapeseed Oil

1/2 tbsp Chilli Oil
1 tbsp Honey
1 tbsp Soy Sauce
