Pork Stuffing Potstickers
The perfect picky food for an NYE soiree, these pork stuffing potstickers by Chloe at Life & Fork are fun to make and a real treat to share with friends. Our Mellow Yellow Cold Pressed Rapeseed Oil has a high smoke point that makes it perfect for achieving that lovely golden crispy exterior and it’s infused with sage here, giving the potstickers a wonderful flavour.
We suggest making more than one batch and freezing in advance because these are guaranteed to be gobbled up quickly!
Method
-
1
Heat the cold pressed rapeseed oil in a pan and add the sage leaves. Fry for 30-60 secs until golden and crispy. Drain on kitchen paper and then finely chop. Reserve the sage-infused oil for later.
-
2
Mix the potsticker filling ingredients together in a bowl along with 1-2 tsp sage-infused oil. Season with sea salt and black pepper!
-
3
Fill each dumpling wrapper (approx. 20g filling), wet the border of the wrapper with water and fold and tightly press the edges to seal completely.
-
4
When ready to pan-fry, heat 1 tbsp reserved sage-infused oil in a lidded pan. Add dumplings and fry for 2-3 mins until golden on the bottom.
-
5
Pour in 80ml water and cover to steam for 3 mins.
-
6
Remove the lid and finish frying for a final few mins until the water has evaporated and the filling is piping hot.
-
7
Garnish with spring onions and chives.
-
8
Dunk in your choice of dipping sauce!
